Carey graduated with honors from Webster University with her master’s degree in Mental health counseling in 2014.
She has a diverse background that includes assisting homeless persons with co-occurring disorders, providing case management to low income families, running psychoeducational groups, teaching money management skills, and non-profit agency leadership.
She specializes in anxiety, ADHD, Self-esteem, mood disorders, trauma, borderline personality disorder, and women’s issues. Her specialty population is young adults who need guidance in finding confidence and managing stress, anxiety, career/school issues, and relationship problems.
Carey is educated and trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems therapy, Cognitive Behavioral therapy, and trauma informed care. Carey is also skilled at teaching life skills.
Carey enjoys working with young adults and has experience helping many to transition into adulthood, make career changes, and set life goals. Carey takes great pride in assisting her clients in achieving personal success and stability in their lives by incorporating tangible skill building into traditional talk therapy.
